At the end of 2006 former Bolt Thrower/Pestilence/Asphyx-singer Martin van Drunen, ex-Houwitser bass player Theo van Eekelen, Gorefest-drummer Ed Warby and both Thanatos-guitarists Paul Baayens and Stephan Gebédi hooked up for a serious drinking session in the city of Amersfoort, Holland. Mael Mordha (Listen)
Mael Mórdha was formed in January 1998 and has undergone an arduous journey from obscurity, to the forefront of the Irish Metal scene since. The band play a truly unique style of metal which has been heavily influenced by Irish laments and imagery to create what they call Ceol Breatha Gaedhealach ‘Gaelic Doom Metal’. Success for the band came very slowly, in part due to the many personnel changes that plagued the band, particularly in its earlier years. However, as the line-up settled, the welfare of the band also improved. As a result, a wealth of material was written and recorded, many concerts were played the length and breadth of Ireland, and finally, the band was offered a four album deal by German Label, Grau Records in 2005.

Five Will Die (Listen)
Established in February 2005, Fivewilldie began life as a Sludgehook fall out band with its three founding members scanning the nether regions of time, space and schizophrenia for a musical landscape that felt right for their own personal and musical wellbeing. Within a year, many energetic and sweaty gigs helped the band establish themselves on the local circuit as a band to be reckoned with. Two worthy souls came and went, contributing to a hectic gigging schedule before being replaced by an Ogre on vox, followed by a young alcoholic genius on bass. A more expansive and intense gigging schedule followed helping this line-up form an incredibly tight bond.

saviours of sin hail from the south coast of the emerald isle, along the banks of the infamous Blackwater River. This Weary Hour was formed in mid-2007 when Seán Murphy (guitars) and Eamonn O'Neill (vocals) began working on a project with intentions of creating dark, doomy metal. Rather than begin recruiting other members right-away, they first decided to write as a two-piece, hoping the resulting material would attract the right people for the job. When trying to come up with a name for the band, they kept coming back to a lyric that carried a particular poignancy for them in the iconic My Dying Bride song, The Cry of Mankind.
